Abstrakt EN: In an attempt to re-introduce the perspective of Religious Studies into our debates about "fake-news" and ?disinformation", my presentation will explore the esoteric dimension of conspiracism and antisemitism. Its theoretical section will explain, why conspiracism could be considered a form of ?esotericism? in the first place and how could our anti-extremism strategies benefit from such a definition. How does the esoteric nature of conspiracism influence the conspiracist decision making, discourse and visual presentation? Are visual and verbal codes meant to protect the members of antisemitic scene from prosecution or do they play a much more important role in preserving of the quasi-religious movement?s identity? Historical links between esotericism, totalitarianism and antisemitism will be explored in this first part as well. Building upon this theoretical background, the second portion will shift its focus inwards ? to the Czech Republic. Having observed and monitored the online Czech antisemitic scene for almost 15 years, I am going to use a timeline of quantitative and qualitative data about the online antisemitic scene in Czechia to document the gradual process, during which esoteric conspiracism replaced the far-right as the main ideological source of the contemporary Czech antisemitism. Are we facing a new source of quasi-religious extremism?
