| Abstrakt EN: | The article presents findings of a research study conducted across foreign language study programs at the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia, Plzen, Czech Republic, during a period of two academic semesters. The study examined students´ views pf the different subcategories of the communicative competence. The research unveiled no impact of selected variables such as students´ time spent abroad, language levels, fields of study on students´ views of the different dimensions. It also showed the study participants perceived the intercultural communicative competence less important than the other four subcategories. In addition, the article closely discusses the views of the specific components of the linguistic communictaive competence by students of the German language. |
