| Abstrakt EN: | Has the global pandemic of Covid-19 and its later variants changed the perceived low levels of antisemitism in the country? How did the antisemitic scene respond to the pandemical challenge and what role does "anti-vaxxer? or ?anti-mask" discourse play in this? The first portion of the presentation will compare the available statistics on antisemitism in the Czech Republic to make policy makers aware of some of the strengths and weaknesses of such indicators. The second portion will directly address the issue of antisemitism in response to Covid ? from the myths about so-called ?plandemic? to recent cases of ?Holocaust appropriation? by anti-vaxxer activists. What can we learn from these incidents about the fluid nature of contemporary Czech antisemitism? |
